Trauma Conscious Yoga Therapy (Group and Individual)
Individuals that participant will learn principles and strategies that will enable one to be more fully integrated in body, mind, and spirit for meditation practice. Individuals will learn mindfulness techniques, meditation skills, and breath work that will increase their ability to self-regulate. Individuals will be able to notice improvements in overall body awareness and decreased depression and anxiety. Individuals will recognize improvements in concentration and focus, improvements in attentiveness, increased life satisfaction levels, and increased self-respect, self-compassion, self-esteem, and self-confidence. The intention of Trauma Conscious Yoga is to support individuals in re-integrating the mind, body, heart, and spirit into a harmonized and healthy whole; to get the individuals connect to their highest selves; to help them see they are not damaged nor are they alone and they can heal and have lives worth living.
Individuals that participate in parenting classes will be educated on how to prepare their children to survive and thrive in today’s society. Our curriculum is an evidence based parent education program known as Active Parenting which has been helping parents since 1983. Through this comprehensive program parents will learn how to navigate the numerous challenges of raising children including, communication, negative behaviors, mutual parental support and positive re-enforcement and allowing parenting to be fun.
